Refund policy

This policy explains your refund rights for purchases made at getrecommended.io. Your statutory consumer rights under the law of your country apply regardless of anything in this policy and are not limited by it.

1. Our product

GetRecommended.io sells a full diagnostic report (the “Report”) that analyses your business’s visibility across six AI search engines. The Report is a digital product, generated and delivered instantly upon successful payment. The purchase price is displayed at checkout in the currency applicable to your region.

2. Your statutory consumer rights

Your rights as a consumer are protected by the law of the country where you made your purchase. Those rights cannot be waived or excluded by this policy. They include, without limitation:

  • Australia — Australian Consumer Law (ACL): goods and services come with non-excludable guarantees. You are entitled to a remedy if a service fails to meet an acceptable standard.
  • New Zealand — Consumer Guarantees Act 1993: services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill and be fit for purpose.
  • United Kingdom — Consumer Rights Act 2015: digital content and services must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
  • Canada — applicable federal and provincial consumer protection legislation, including the Competition Act.
  • United States — applicable state consumer protection laws.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right or remedy you hold under these or any other applicable consumer laws.

3. Digital product and instant delivery

Because the Report is generated and delivered immediately upon payment, and contains analysis specific to your business and the queries run at that point in time, we generally do not offer change-of-mind refunds once the Report has been delivered.

This is consistent with standard digital-product consumer law treatment in our operating markets, and is without prejudice to your statutory rights described in section 2.

4. When we will issue a refund

We will provide a full refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure— the scan fails to complete due to a fault on our end and no Report is delivered.
  • Materially different delivery— the Report delivered is significantly different from what was described on our website at the time of purchase.
  • Unusable report— the Report contains critical errors that render it unfit for its intended purpose and we are unable to resolve them within a reasonable time.

In each case, your statutory rights also independently entitle you to a remedy regardless of whether the circumstances above are met.

5. When we do not offer discretionary refunds

Outside of your statutory rights and the circumstances in section 4, we do not offer discretionary refunds where:

  • You change your mind after the Report has been delivered.
  • You are dissatisfied with the AI search results — for example, your business is not recommended by one or more AI engines. The Report accurately reflects the state of AI search results at the time of the scan, which we do not control.
  • You made a mistake when entering your business details, URL, or search terms.
  • You did not read this policy or the Terms of Service before purchasing.

6. Social share cashback offer

This Refund Policy governs purchase-price refunds only. The Social Share Cashback Offer (a separate partial cashback available when you share a qualifying post on a public platform) is governed by Section 14 of our Terms of Service.

The cashback offer is not a refund in the consumer-law sense. It is a promotional credit applied to your original payment card when the conditions in Section 14 are met.

7. How to request a refund

To request a refund under section 4 or under your statutory rights, contact us within 14 days of your purchase at hello@getrecommended.io with:

  • Your order reference number.
  • The email address used to purchase the Report.
  • A clear description of the issue, including any error messages or evidence.

The 14-day window applies to discretionary requests. Your statutory rights are not subject to this time limit.

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment card and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days of approval.
